Two creatives who fell in love with
the in-between moments

We're Gabby and Ray, a photographer and filmmaker and the founders of Alegria. Based between Melbourne and Queensland, and available worldwide, we have spent the past seven years approaching every wedding as what it truly is: the most honest, generous day a person will ever have.

Over the years we've built a small team of photographers and videographers we trust completely. People who see the day the way we do. Every consultation, edit, and client relationship remains with us, always.

Seven years. 100+ weddings. Three continents.

Gabby - photographer

"I'm drawn to the moments just before and just after."

Gabby's approach to photography is fundamentally about trust. Over seven years of photographing weddings, she has learned that the most enduring images rarely happen when everyone is looking at the camera. They happen in the quiet seconds between, when the bride catches her mother's eye, when a father breathes out slowly as his daughter walks away.

Her presence on a wedding day is calm, unhurried, and unobtrusive. She is known for her comforting nature on a wedding day and her ability to make couples forget they are being photographed.

When she's not behind the camera, you'll find her cherishing moments with Ziggy & Millie, her beloved golden retrievers, or embracing her adventurous nature and exploring unique destinations worldwide.

ray - filmmaker

"A film isn't a recording. It's a feeling."

Ray has been in love with the process of filmmaking since before he had a word for it, the anticipation of a scene, the way music and movement can collapse time, the feeling of watching something back and being transported completely.

He approaches wedding filmmaking as a documentarian rather than a director. His films are not choreographed. They are found, assembled from the sounds and silences and stolen moments of a day that happens only once.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We're not here to document a production.
We're here to witness a day.

We work in documentary style, present, perceptive, and patient. We trust that if you've gathered the right people in a place that matters and said the words you mean, the images will take care of themselves.

What we bring is a commitment to craft — to beautiful light, considered composition, and editing that will feel as natural in twenty years as it does today. We edit to timeless, not to trend.

If you've read this far, we'd love to hear about your day
