There are weddings you photograph, and then there are weddings that remind you exactly why you do what you do. Chloe and Tasman’s day at Gabbinbar Homestead in Toowoomba was absolutely one of the latter.
With this wedding being our first visit to Gabbinbar, our breath was absolutely taken away. There’s something about this venue that just works — the towering conifers, the manicured gardens, the gorgeous glasshouse conservatory, and those heritage buildings tucked into the grounds. It has this incredible ability to feel both timeless and alive at the same time, and Chloe and Tasman leaned into every bit of it.
The Morning
Getting ready was relaxed, warm, and full of that quiet kind of excitement that only exists on a wedding morning. Chloe’s MWL Bridal gown was everything, a sleek, strapless silhouette with a thigh-high split. Simple, elegant, and completely her. The bridesmaids in their satin sage gowns were the perfect complement, and the whole getting-ready space had this beautiful soft light that made every frame feel like film.

Speaking of film — we shot a roll of 35mm on the day, and honestly those images are some of our favourites from the entire gallery. There’s a quality to film that digital just can’t replicate, and for a wedding like this one it felt so right.

The Ceremony
Chloe and Tasman were married outdoors at Gabbinbar, beneath those iconic tall trees with white florals lining the aisle. Toowoomba White Weddings absolutely delivered, lush, white blooms that felt abundant without being overdone. The ceremony was held by the Best Celebrant Ever, and it was everything a ceremony should be: personal, a little teary (in the best way), and full of laughter.
Watching Tasman’s reaction as Chloe walked down the aisle, that’s the kind of moment we live for. There was a gorgeous confetti exit after the ceremony, followed by what we can only describe as pure, uncontrollable joy as they greeted their guests on the lawn.

The Portraits
With grounds like Gabbinbar, you’re almost spoiled for choice when it comes to portrait locations. We made our way through the garden paths, past the stone fountain, into the darker wooded areas of the property, and back out into the open green. Chloe’s veil caught the late afternoon light perfectly and we got some absolutely stunning black and whites through the trees. These two were naturals in front of the camera, laughing, leaning in, completely in their own world.

The Reception
The glasshouse at Gabbinbar is one of the most beautiful reception spaces in Queensland. With its arched white frames, fairy lights draping from the ceiling, and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto the gardens, it glows. Toowoomba White Weddings had styled the room with lush floral arrangements running the length of the tables, and Jillicious Cakes had created a stunning cake that absolutely held its own as a centrepiece.
Then the lights went down and the dance floor opened up, and Chloe and Tasman’s guests showed up for it. Flash photography, smoke, full send energy. One of those reception nights where you’re constantly spinning around trying to capture every corner of the room because it’s all worth photographing.

The Dream Team
A day like this doesn’t come together without the right people, and Chloe and Tasman had an incredible vendor team around them. Natalie Lucas MUA kept Chloe’s makeup flawless from morning through to the last song. The stationery from Signed by Shaun was beautifully considered. And Social Q Bride was on content creation duties, always a great sign that a couple values having their day documented from every angle.
